Facebook "Something Went Wrong" Error

Why Facebook shows a Something Went Wrong message when you connect, the usual causes behind it, and the steps that clear it.

Common Causes

  • API version deprecation: Facebook deprecates API versions after 2 years. Dinopix stays updated, but if you see this error, try again in a few minutes.
  • Browser cache: try clearing your browser cache or using an incognito window
  • Facebook outage: check Downdetector for current Facebook status
  • Permissions changed: if you recently changed your Facebook Page roles, permissions may need to propagate

How to Fix

  1. Wait a few minutes and try again
  2. Go to Settings > Connected Accounts and click Refresh Pages
  3. If the error persists, try disconnecting and reconnecting
